Colin Ramage is originally from Edinburgh but now resides in the beautiful town of Kinross. He has been a Scottish folk singer and entertainer for over Twenty years playing with various bands such as North Sea Gas and Black-eyed Biddy.
He has travelled extensively throughout the world and has performed in national theatres to oil rigs and every other type of venue in between.
In the course of his musical career Colin has been support to many top names including Runrig, Dougie MacLean, The McCalmans, Dick Gaughan and Brathanki (Poland).
Colin plays a variety of instruments but his main strength lies in his voice. From haunting ballads to foot stomping Scottish songs, all are sung with a clear and melodic style. Colin has a relaxed approach and a friendly nature and also a love and a passion for a good song sung well.

Hi everyone… My name is Colin Ramage and I have been a professional folk entertainer for the last twenty years or so….!!! Isn’t it just wonderful to put a smile onto people’s faces when they like your style, your humour, or maybe your music..??? Music is my passion and I have been fortunate enough to see the world from Oz to Canada to U.S.A to U.A.E and many other European and E. European towns and cities in between. I have embraced many cultures and I thank those countries for embracing me. I now find myself writing to you.. I have met the BEST people in the world and I have some great friends and I would like you to embrace me as a friend also. For many years I was with an Edinburgh based band called North Sea Gas, but through the years I have had the opportunity to work with such great musicians such as Runrig, Dougie McLean, Dick Gaughan, Archie Fisher, and in Poland as support to the wonderful Brathanki..Life is very diverse and I am thankful for that…!!! Well once more I find myself on the way to Switzerland soon with my good friends Iain Anderson and Neil Paterson for our (almost famous) tour…. It’s our favourite place of all time and we are looking forward to seeing all of our friends there. We are known as Càirdeas officially now and we have a brand new c.d. called ..Autumn.. that we will be bringing with us..It..s a great mixture of songs and tunes that we know are popular with our new fan base. I’ve had quite a busy year…. so this will be a nice, quiet, retiring and inspirational journey for me…!!(In other words drunk!)
