Christoph and Ed were able to hunt down the origin of the problems and squash it. Thanks for your patience!

Close collaboration with JC Hotlap Site2003-12-03 17:46:53

Many of you may not be aware of JC's Hotlap Site, which is dedicated to all non-F1 car classes. This great website collects replays and setups of many tracks, so that people that want to drive non-F1 classes can benefit.

From today GPLRank stores all replays that are served by JC's and checks for interesting laptimes when people upload their laptimes. If you already have a non-F1 account at GPLRank, find out now if you have laptimes are considered interesting.

If you have never driven a F2 car, or have swapped a F2 engine in a F1 chassis to create a FD class car, head over to JC's Hotlap Site to find out more!
Chassis selection for track statistics in MCH2003-10-24 17:53:55
Author: Ed Hut
By request of Ruud Dingemans, the track statistics feature in MCH now takes the selected chassis into account. As Ruud described it: "I'd like to see how I'm doing as a BRM driver on a certain track if I'm driving the BRM, since comparing it to the average time (with all those Lotii and Eaglii around) kinda shrouds the results."

I intend to include selection for car class as well sometime soon. Watch this space!
WR page now also shows unverified records2003-10-11 13:40:47

Many people have asked for a page that just plainly shows all the best laptimes for all tracks for all chassis, and here it is! It is now very easy to check if you hold a record (I was surprized to see that I hold the Brabham F1 record at the short version of Oulton Park).

Please note that only F1 laps for a limited number of tracks are being verified by GPLRank admins, while non-F1 laps are being reviewed by the crew of JC's Hotlap Site.

New version of Multiple Choice Hell2003-09-20 07:12:47
Author: Ed Hut
A new version of Multiple Choice Hell is now online. This version has faster response times than the previous version, especially for tracks with many laptimes. You'll also notice a new option in the chassis selection: "Any chassis of 1967", which will in due time of course be extended with "Any chassis of 1965" and all chassis of 1965.
New ini-file processing is now live2003-09-15 12:52:25

After a full week without any issues with the 2nd beta of the new and improved ini-file processing I've decided deploy it for real. Of course I have my fingers crossed :-)
In case of any weird behaviour, please drop us a line at the email address that's mentioned above.
2nd Beta version of new ini processing2003-09-09 18:45:43
Author: Ed Hut
In preparation for the upcoming 1965 mod a new and improved ini-file processing has been build. This new version will support the 1965 mod, but will also process the laptimes much quicker. Several people have already tested it, but just to be sure I first make it available as a beta version. Please try it out and see if it works for you. If not, please drop us an email and describe what is happening in your case.

This 2nd beta version now also checks for world record candidate laps and displays an appropriate message if you have one.

New feature for 107%2003-08-14 20:18:22
Author: Ed Hut
I've added a feature to the 107% comparison. You can now lookup another driver and compare your times with that driver. A bit like back-to-back, but now graphically. I'm planning to put some hyperlinks on the GPLRank driver detail pages at a later stage.

Why not compare your times with those of Thomas Horn, who submitted the idea for this new feature?
